Sportacus is LazyTown's resident superhero. His blue-clad skiing outfit is his signature, as well as his moustache, which is seemingly modeled after a Classic Hollywood look.
He occasionally coins phrases like "It's okay to eat icecream sometimes.". But sugar is baneful to Sportacus himself, and he has a disdain for relaxing, vacationing, or standing still. So, he mostly promotes exercise and enjoying 'Sports Candy' i.e. health foods such as carrots, apples, bananas, watermelons, and other naturally grown fruits and vegetables.
Sportacus dwells within an airship, reminiscent of the great 'zepplins' of the past. His is operated by pedal power, assisted by a few high-tech instruments. He has a special crystal located inside the '10' on his chest, which beeps and indicates when someone is in trouble. And as every great superhero knows, you have ta let the people find out for themselves.
However, if they're in REAL danger, Sportacus idiosyncratically leaps, jumps, does flips, and always seems to arrive just in time!
He is friend and role-model to all the kids in town, especially Stephanie and Ziggy. Although Sportacus usually has a difficult time getting them to eat healthy, they are always willing to try their best and heed his advice. When someone needs to send him a message in a hurry, they use the 'Sporta-Mailer', which is a contraption that sends a note up in the air, inside a tube that goes directly to the airship.
There's only one person in LazyTown who doesn't like Sportacus, and that's Robbie Rotten. Robbie causes most of the trouble in town. Sometimes Sportacus has to save Robbie from his own evil plans gone awry! Eventually everything turns out okay and justice is served.
When he's not busy saving people, he goes about his regular everyday activities. But he makes even the simplest task look extraordinary. From using a ping-pong paddle to slice a banana, or bungee jumping to go diving for apples, you never know what he might do next...
